The Alabama OER Commons, sponsored by the Alabama Virtual Library, is intended for Alabama educators, students, and the general public to access and exchange free educational resources. The hub's goal is to collect some of the most useful textbooks and other materials in one place, as well as to serve as a central location for open educational resources created in Alabama and those that have been adapted or remixed to meet the needs of Alabama students and residents. The Alabama OER Commons offers educational resources in a variety of disciplines, including history, science, mathematics, business and communication, and arts and humanities among others.

The Branch Alliance OER, launched by Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity (BranchED), was created with the goal of curating and developing collaborative, high-quality educational materials for and by teacher educators at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). Not only does the hub include high-quality, collaborative, current, and practice-based resources, but it also stresses varied perspectives and model OER that instructors may use in their classrooms. It aspires to provide all children with access to diverse and highly effective educators.

The CalSWEC Network Hub is a place for social work educators, trainers, practitioners, students, and the public to share, use, and adapt educational and professional development resources. It contains approximately 90 resources for social welfare academic programs, including presentations, research findings, and other curriculum materials on a variety of child welfare themes. All are geared toward ensuring that Californians receive effective, culturally competent public service.

The CCC Community Hub is an Open Educational Resources (OER) network that allows community colleges in California to collaborate on developing and maintaining open educational resources. The need for a localized repository with robust collaboration, sharing, and assessment tools prompted the creation of this hub. The CCC Community Hub has made around 800 instructional items available to users.

The CalSWEC Network Hub is a place for social work educators, trainers, practitioners, students, and the public to share, use, and adapt educational and professional development resources. It contains approximately 90 resources for social welfare academic programs, including presentations, research findings, and other curriculum materials on a variety of child welfare themes. All are geared toward ensuring that Californians receive effective, culturally competent public service.

CORE is a non-profit database of open access research papers. It works by increasing the discoverability and reuse of open access content. It also supports a diverse range of researchers, academic institutions, developers, funders and companies and provides solutions for content management.

Current Issues in Education is an open-access academic education journal that is produced by the Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College doctorate students. It focuses on promoting a wide range of timely and relevant education topics and seeks to have a harmonious and innovative exchange of knowledge in discussing challenging issues in education using different theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. It also welcomes anyone who wishes to publish their work and does not charge any fee to authors at any stage of the publication process.

Early Childhood Research and Practice (ECRP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access electronic journal that focuses on the field of early childhood education. It has published different research reports and papers on the  growing trends and issues by practitioners all over the world. Different areas of emphasis are included like classroom practice, curriculum, ethics, teacher preparation, higher education, policy, and parent participation.

ERIC is an online digital database of research and information. Its mission is to provide easy-to-use, searchable Internet-based bibliographic and full-text databases of education research and information for educators, researchers, and the general public that is essential for improving teaching and learning. It holds 1.5 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials and covers a wide range of topics.

EDUCAUSE is an online database whose mission is to develop advanced higher education with the intelligent use of information technology. With a listing of over 240 terms, users can easily explore the topics and the specific documents in the collection. The EDUCAUSE Library is housing over 21,000 resources of timely topics and supporting the use and management of technology in higher education.

The GALILEO Open Learning Materials is an online repository that houses the University System of Georgia’s USG open educational resources, including open textbooks, grant collections, and ancillary materials that are allowed to be reused, redistributed, remixed, and revised. End users can browse the available Open Learning Materials by subject, by author, by, institution, by material type, and by creative commons license.  This online depot made possible by the collaborative efforts of USG, GALILEO, and by Affordable Learning Georgia, intends to minimize the expenses of textbooks to students and assist them in their academic progress and success. 

The IDAHO Teaching & Learning Community offers an Open Educational Resources (OER) platform that provides free and reusable teaching and learning materials from over 50,000 high-caliber OER collections. Their curated collection are primarily full university courses, interactive mini-lessons and simulations, adaptations of existing open work, open textbooks, and K-12 lesson plans, worksheets, and activities. These materials juggle a vast range of disciplines, including applied science, arts and humanities, business and communication, career and technical education, education, English language arts, history, law, life science, mathematics, physical science, and social science. The resources’ creators and administrators made sure that users will easily locate the materials they need through organizing the materials into categories such as subject areas, grade levels, material types, media formats, and courses/libraries.

The GALILEO Open Learning Materials is an online repository that houses the University System of Georgia’s USG open educational resources, including open textbooks, grant collections, and ancillary materials that are allowed to be reused, redistributed, remixed, and revised. The International Journal of Special Education (IJSE) is an open-access journal publishing that provides its readers a vast array of international conferences for original articles in special education, inclusive education, and services for persons with disabilities. This English-language published peer-reviewed journal seeks to improve open access for all experimental and theoretical articles that present the growth and practice in the fields of special and inclusive education globally. Contributing authors report on the review of research, historical and philosophical reviews in addition to evidence-based data on the efficiency of transformative approaches to special and inclusive education. 

The Iowa Area Education Agencies (AEA) OEAR is an online learning repository of Iowa’s 9 Area Education Agencies. This platform aims to incite interest in using Iowa’s digital learning materials and content in various formats from bringing these resources to open accessibility and availability among educators in a variety of disciplines. Iowa AEA OEAR allows educators to take advantage of the available resources, evaluate what they can use, and put their very own spin using the onsite tools for customization. Thus, creating a collaborative effort in enhancing open educational resources that would benefit all education stakeholders. 

The Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education is a website published by the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE) that aims to provide a wide range of resources in terms of Learning Development. It covers students' learning facilitation which includes their experience in understanding and utilizing the information they acquired in Higher Education. The online database also publishes papers from a variety of authors, learning developers, scholarly professionals, and research-informed practitioners whose practice aligns with the core values of LD (Learning Development). Also, this database is open access which means that anyone can access the content or  journals here for free without any monetary charges to the user or institution. Users are authorized to copy, read, download, print, distribute, search, or link the full text of the document, or utilize them for any academic and lawful purposes, without prior permission from the author or publisher. 

The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes experimental methods in video format. This website is the world leading provider and producer of science videos that aims to improve scientific research and education. In research, JoVE aims to produce intricate details of cutting-edge experiments video enabling efficient learning and replication of new research and methodologies. On the other hand, JoVE also aspires to provide educational videos that empower effective teaching methods of science concepts and laboratory procedures in undergraduate and graduate degrees at universities and colleges. The JoVE database offers a wide range of scientific videos and journals for research and education in regards to Biology, Behavior, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Neuroscience, Developmental Biology, Physics, Immunology and Infection, Engineering, Psychology, Environmental Sciences, and Genetics. The authors and publishers are from different well-known universities around the globe making the journals highly credible for academic and research purposes. For the users to access and watch the full video, they need to subscribe to the JoVE database and log in using their respective institutional email addresses.

The Instructional Technology and School Library Media Division of the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) created an Open Education Resources (OER) which is Maryland's OER Project: PreK-12 website. Maryland's OER Project: PreK-12 website aspires to establish student-centered digital learning platforms where the users (teacher and students) are empowered to think creatively and critically to engage in a learning community that provides equitable access to digital resources for K-12 curriculum (Kinder-Grade 12). This platform provides an openly available, searchable database of resources, and supports the creation and curation of content into the collections. The database’s collections are categorized into two; the MSDE Vetted Collections which are composed of different subject areas materials such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, Health, Physical Education, Gifted and Talented, Early Childhood, Library Media, and Professional Learning. On the other hand, OER Common Collection includes CK-12 Elementary Math, Khan Academy, Folger Shakespeare Library, TechEngineering, WikiBooks, and others. This website also offers various types of materials like lesson plan, case study, homeworks, activity/lab, assessment, lecture notes, lesson videos, and modules. The resources are open and accessible to the public, it means that the users can access the collections yet, the users are also advised to register or sign in.

Massachusetts Community Colleges OER Hub was created and collated by the Massachusetts Community College (MCC) faculty as a part of the MCC Go Open Project. Through engaging educators in new participatory procedures and using effective technology for learning, Open Educational Resources (OER) offer chances for systemic change in teaching and learning content. This site serves as a repository for all MCC’s work that aims to expand faculty collaboration and increase access to high quality course materials for all students. The available collections in the database are categorize in numerous disciplines namely Arts and Humanities, Business, Career and Technical Education, Criminal Justice and Law, Computer and Information Science, Education, English and Writing, First Year Experiences, History, Inclusive Pedagogy, Life Science, Mathematics, Nursing and Allied Health, Psychology, Physical Sciences, Sociology, and OER Copyright and Licensing. The repository site also offers several types of resources like modules, syllabus, textbooks, games, case study, lectures, lecture notes, and other course materials. The site is an open access repository where users can access the materials freely without any fees. 

The McGill Journal of Education (MJE) is dedicated to theory, policy, connecting educational research, and practice by publishing scholarly resources from different educational scholars and practitioners that work in a variety of fields of education and learning in Quebec, Canada, and around the world. This website provides peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, open access, bilingual scholarly journals published three times a year. Through this site, it opens spaces for the exchange of ideas across multidisciplinary boundaries among diverse and broader audiences. For this, McGill Journal of Education’s resources also features peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed publications and discussions in order to achieve its  goal which is to provide a window on developments in education and learning in the Quebec context as well as throughout Francophonie by encouraging English- and French-language submissions. In addition, The MJE website is available as well into two languages which are English and French (Canadian). This database gives immediate open access to its content that makes it available to the users or public without paying for any fees that will support greater exchange of global knowledge.

The Michigan Colleges Online Hub was created by Michigan Colleges Online to produce high-quality Open Educational Resources (OER) that will allow creation, sharing, and collaboration of materials to classroom learning. This site was developed as a way to reduce costs for students, increase student success and completion, and exhibits inter-institutional collaboration with the faculty. The collections are varied to different subject areas such as Applied Science, Arts and Humanities, Business and Communication, Career and Technical Education, Computer Science, Education, English Language Arts, History, Law, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and others. Also, there are numerous types of materials for the users to use like activity/lab, assessment, lecture, lecture notes, readings, and textbooks. This database is open access, where the materials are open to any users and can be retrieved without having a prior account. 

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology OpenCourseware (MIT-OCW) was established by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to create opportunities in accessing free learning resources for millions of learners and educators around the globe by the means of Open Educational Resources (OER). The MIT OpenCourseWare offers materials from thousands of MIT courses, covering the entire MIT curriculum. The course materials that are available on the site are open textbooks, video lessons, journals, podcasts, lecture notes, problem sets, and other learning resources. As MIT curriculum focuses on the field of Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics; most of the learning materials are inclined to this field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Physics, Electromagnetism, Topology and Geometry, Linear Algebra, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Biological Engineering, Quantum Mechanics, and such. In addition, the site also provides other subjects like Social Sciences, Language, Economics, Fine Arts, Legal Studies, Digital Media, Linguistics, and Teaching Education. Since OpenCourseWare supports OER, the collection is open and free to the public. No enrollment and registration required, users can freely browse and use the OCW materials at their own pace. 

​EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The MOBIUS Open Educational Resources Hub was developed to create a consortium-wide repository of high quality OER content for faculty use and increase academic success that reduces costs for students across the consortium. The Open Educational Resources (OER) offer opportunities for both users (faculty and students) to access openly licensed content; where new participatory processes and effective technologies are applied in learning. The MOBIUS OER Hub provides resources in different subject areas like Applied Science, Arts and Humanities, Business and Communication, Career and Technical Education, History, Language, Arts, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Social Science. This database also issues various materials such as case study, activity sets, lecture notes, games, homeworks/activities, modules, lesson plans, simulation, readings, textbooks, videos, and others. The materials are open to all users and can be accessed anytime, anywhere. However, users are also encouraged to log in or sign up to the site to track and manage their learning pace while using the resources in the database. 

MERLOT stands for Multimedia Education Resource for Learning and Online Teaching, it is a site developed by California State University that serves as a repository for online learning resources. While some of the content is for the K-12 curriculum, the resources on the MERLOT website focuses on touching a wide range of subject matter in higher education learning. These collections include OER materials that range from simple text lessons to interactive web pages. Some of the various subject disciplines that are available in their collections are Arts, Business, Education, Humanities, Statistics, Science and Technology, and Social Science. Also, materials are being rated by the users so that it is easy for the public to find high quality materials. To access the resources the users are encouraged to create an account to the site. This process is relatively easy and won’t cost anything to the end users. Once the account is already established, resources are now accessible and available to use. 

NOBA is a free online platform that offers high-quality textbooks and educational materials in a flexible format. The Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 International License applies to these textbooks and resources. The content can be reused, redistributed, and remixed by users to fit their requirements. NOBA was founded to relieve students' financial burdens by providing free educational content and a platform for instructors to personalize educational content to better suit their curriculum. Furthermore, NOBA was founded to provide free, high-quality material prepared by a group of psychology professionals and authority.

Open Education Global (OEG) is a non-profit organization with a global membership that supports the development and implementation of open education around the world. Beyond open curriculum, the OEG's attention shifted to a broader vision of open education that embraced additional members and modalities of open education. It is also expanded to encompass advocacy and leadership in the advancement of open education globally, as well as the development of open policies, the creation of sustainable open education models, and the facilitation of international collaboration and innovation.

Open Praxis is an open access, peer-reviewed scholarly magazine that focuses on research and innovation in open, distance, and flexible education. This scholarly journal's goal is to provide a forum for global collaboration and discussion of topics in remote and e-learning practice. Open Praxis invites papers that demonstrate creative and original research, as well as those that highlight problems, lessons, and accomplishments in the practice of distance and e-learning from around the world, particularly in higher education. This publication gives instant open access to its material on the premise that making research freely available to the public promotes better global knowledge exchange.

The Philippine E-Journals is a growing collection of academic journals made available globally via a single Web-based platform. Philippine E-Journals is an online bibliographic library and archive of academic journals from the Philippines' many colleges, universities, and professional organizations. It provides a diverse range of scholarly journals from many academic areas. It is hosted by C&E Publishing, Inc., the Philippines' leading educational publisher and distributor of integrated information-based solutions.

The PHL CHED Connect Platform is an online platform that contains higher education course materials in the form of text, media, and other digital assets which can be used for teaching, learning, and research. They enable educators to integrate and update numerous educational resources, providing for more multidisciplinary teaching and learning experiences. PHL CHED Connect provides access to a variety of resources for teaching, learning, and research. including course materials, modules, lectures, videos, and podcasts where anyone can search across numerous disciplines, education levels, and education standards.

SPARC, which stands for the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resource Coalition, is a non-profit organization that supports a system for research and education that is open by default and equitable by design. Founded in 1998, SPARC includes more than 200 libraries and academic organizations across North America and is complemented by an affiliated coalition in Africa, Europe, and Japan as well as individual member organizations in Australia, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia. With a mission to give everyone the ability to access and contribute to the knowledge that shapes the world. This database focuses on driving policy change, supporting member action, and cultivate communicative that advance the vision of knowledge as a public good.
