It is an easy-to-use online platform for customization, construction, and dissemination of open access resources. This website offers various textbooks from different subjects such as Biology, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Spanish, Geosciences, Humanities, K-12 Education, Mathematics, Medicine, Physics, Social Sciences, Statistics, and Workforce. LibreTexts is an open access database that allows the users to access the textbooks and other materials without having an account. 

The Literature, Arts and Medicine Database (LitMed) was established by the faculty of New York University School of Medicine in 1993. This website is a collection of literature, visual art, fine art, and performing art annotations created as a dynamic and comprehensive resource for users interested in medical humanities. It means that all of the materials that can be accessed here includes a broad topic for the interdisciplinary field of humanities (literature, philosophy, ethics, history, and religion), social science, arts, and their application to the healthcare education practice and procedures. LitMed offers various materials in different formats like arts (images, performance, etc.), journals, articles, poems, and literature reviews. Also, this database is open access where anyone is free to browse and utilize the materials that can be found in the site.
