The Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units (PAIU) is a partnership of Pennsylvania’s 29 Intermediate Units (Education Service Agencies) that work to address the educational needs of students, schools, and communities throughout the Commonwealth. Through a community-based approach that leverages statewide communities of practice, professional learning, and K-12 services, PAIU attempts to arouse interest in and promote the deployment of OER in Pennsylvania classrooms. PAIU also provides materials or resources in numerous academic areas, as well as a variety of material kinds for students and teachers, such as activities, lesson plans, modules, textbooks, syllabus, and so on.

PubChem is an online chemistry database provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). They are open resources that indicate that users may upload their scientific data in PubChem which others can utilize. PubChem has grown to become a vital source of chemical knowledge for scientists, students, and the broader population since its founding in 2004. Every month, their website and programmatic services provide data to millions of people worldwide. PubChem mostly contains small compounds, but it also contains bigger molecules such as nucleotides, carbohydrates, lipids, peptides, and chemically modified macromolecules. They gather data on chemical structures, identifiers, chemical and physical characteristics, biological activities, patents, health, safety, and toxicity data, among other things. Hundreds of data sources, including government organizations, chemical suppliers, journal publishers, and others, submit records to PubChem.

PubMed is an open database that allows users to search and retrieve biomedical and life science literature in order to improve health on a global and personal level. More than 33 million citations and abstracts for biomedical literature, life science periodicals, and online publications are available in the PubMed database. It does not include full-text journal articles, however, when available from other sources, such as the publisher's website or PubMed Central (PMC), links to the full text are provided primarily.  Biomedicine and health, as well as allied areas such as biological sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering, comprise the majority of PubMed citations.
